HDPE Pressure Pipe Systems

Butt-welded HDPE pipeline systems (PE80 & PE100) for potable water, mining dewatering and bulk transfer applications.

Core Service

HDPE Pipeline Specialists

HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pressure pipe systems are the foundation of WPTS's service offering. We design, supply, weld and install HDPE pipelines, mainly PE100, for applications ranging from potable water supply to mining process water and industrial transfer.

HDPE's unique combination of flexibility, corrosion resistance and fusion-welded joints makes it the material of choice for modern pipeline infrastructure. Our butt-fusion and electrofusion jointing techniques create a monolithic pipeline with zero mechanical joints and zero leak points.

Applications

HDPE Pipeline Applications

Potable Water Supply

PE100 systems for municipal water transmission and reticulation. SANS 4427 compliant with SAPPMA certified materials.

Mining Dewatering

High-pressure HDPE systems for mine dewatering and groundwater management. Resistant to mine water chemistry.

Bulk Water Transfer

Large-diameter HDPE pipelines for raw and treated water conveyance between dams, reservoirs and treatment facilities.

Process Water

Plant ring mains, process water supply and return lines. Chemical resistance for diverse water quality conditions.

Wastewater & Sewage

Gravity and pressure sewer systems. HDPE eliminates infiltration and exfiltration common with jointed pipe systems.

Agricultural Irrigation

Centre-pivot feed lines, mainlines and lateral supply. Flexible installation follows terrain contours.

Why HDPE

HDPE Advantages

HDPE offers significant technical and commercial advantages over traditional pipe materials including steel, ductile iron, PVC and concrete.

Fusion-welded joints — zero leak points
Corrosion-free — no cathodic protection needed
Flexible — accommodates ground settlement
Lightweight — lower transport and handling costs
Chemical resistant — suitable for diverse water quality
Smooth bore — superior flow characteristics
UV stabilised options for above-ground installation
100+ year service life — lowest lifecycle cost
